The Cabin

The Last Cabin section (the Canopy) has been attached so structure is now complete.

Hand rails have been welded to both sides.

Rain catcher spines have been welded on.
Any water which is collected will be potential drinking/shower water.

Triangular PETG panels have been siliconed into place and then tapewelded giving windows to the dining area.

Nets
All gaps between the pontoons fore and aft of the cabin will be netted.
Firstly all around the area where the nets are going, a series of holes are drilled (800 holes in total), these points are then smoothed down with a sanding disc which will prevent chaffing on the lashings.

Netting
The netting is similar to fishing net. We are using a thicker line.
Around the outside of each section of netting DT has stitched bolt ropes.
This is then lashed to the eyes on the deck and each section is then stretched as much as possible to create a tight trampoline type webbing

Only another day or 2 and every section of both hulls will be complete with bottles. Nesta inspecting the bottom section which was completed this week.

Hull Skins are 75% complete.

Apart from the endless puzzle of attaching 12,000 bottles, Matt is working on the out board engine bracket system.
Looking at how the engine will be hinged allowing it to be folded up and out of the way when not in use and controlled when folded down.
Linking the two tillers together.

Jo is about to install the aft Solar array.
There are only 4 days left of electrics – wiring to be completed before boat can be switched on to test all systems.
The boat has been re measured by the rigger to finalise the length of all the wires.
There is only one inch difference between the hulls so everything is very semetrical. The rig is now very nearly ready.
Designing the wall Garden, “Inka” are building us a Cylindrical shaped set up to hang off the Mizzen mast. Below an example of one of their standing gardens.
We have been speaking to a Crane company to work out logistics of moving the boat.
Nice Collective are helping to design the whole cabin interior
