Its a really exciting time for all of the Plastiki team as we plan to set sail for our journey across the Pacific to Sydney within the next 7 days.

The team are working really hard to get all of the finishing touches complete and get the boat stocked with food and supplies. We now have the vertical garden installed complete with 98 edible plants (yum!) thanks to the guys at Inka, and with the help of volunteers and locally sourced produce we have some great food stored away for the 100 days at sea.

So if all goes to plan, then after nearly 4 years of development the Plastiki will be hitting the water and beginning its one of a kind mission across the South Pacific on a boat made of 12,500 plastic bottles and recyclable srPET.

We know that a lot of SF locals will be eager to join us and wish the Plastiki and crew a safe journey so as soon as we are able to confirm a day and time we will be giving a big shout out through all our social networks and blog. Follow us on our Twitter and Facebook for regular updates.
