Hi,7/27,talked to you this afternoon in Darling Harbour…forgot to mention BIG congratulations for your safe arrival,your courage,your intension with your action creating awareness of the global “rubbishing” of the planet.I only hope that the average complacency of the masses could be disturbed MORE.
(However,don’t mingle with the Greens here,they are not “green”.)

We studied the Great Pacific Garbage Dump as part of our unit on Oceans last term. We were horrified to learn of the state of the Pacific Ocean and the effect it is having on wildlife in the area. Now, it seems that the issue of plastic pollution in the ocean is all over the news thanks to your amazing journey on the Plastiki. We thought it was terrific that you managed to construct a boat from plastic bottles and sail it all the way from America to Australia. We, as a class, have pledged to reduce (if not entirely eliminate) plastic from our school and homes! We may only be 11 and 12 years old but we are keen to do all we can to fix this mighty problem. Thank you for all your efforts to raise awareness of this problem. We will be doing all we can here to help!
